<summary type="text">Koibatek District Development Plan 2002- 2008
Koibatek District Development Plan (DDP) for the period 2002-2008 was prepared by the District. Departmental Heads of various Ministries under the coordination of the District Commissioner (DC) assisted by the District Development Officer (DDO) and members of the District Planning Team. The Plan is a product of broad-based consultations among 'Various stakeholders undertaken in the district. It has been prepared in the backdrop of the theme of the 9th National Development Plan, which is "Effective Management for Sustainable Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction". The DDP articulates medium term policies and objectives, which are further translated into short-term strategies and programmes to be implemented under the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF). The latter is part of the budgetary reforms undertaken to strengthen the linkage between policy, planning and budgeting. The Rural Planning Department of the Ministry of Finance and Planning provided the overall guidance through seminars and training workshops and was responsible for the formulation of guidelines, editing and publication of the Plan.

The 7th Baringo District Development Plan (DDP) for the period 2002-2008 was prepared by the District Departmental Heads of various Ministries under the coordination of the District Commissioner (DC) assisted by the District Development Officer (DDOs) and members of the District Planning Team. <summary type="text">Baringo District Development Plan 1994-1996
This District Development Plan was prepared by the District Departmental Heads of various ministries under the co-ordination of the District Commissioner assisted by the members of the District Planning Unit. The plan drafts were discussed by members of the District Executive Committee and approved by the District Development Committee. Rural Planning Department of the Office of the Vice President and Ministry of Planning and National Development provided overall guidance through seminars, formulation of the guidelines and was also responsible for editing and publication of the plan. The Plan is divided into five chapters. Chapter One: Provides background information on the district's natural and human resource base and potential. Chapter Two: Provides a portrait of the people of the district, the way they earn their livelihood, and their standard of living. It presents social and economic levels of the district. Chapter Three: Presents the major development constraints and the district's strategy for dealing with them in the 1994-96 plan period. Chapter Four: Provides a situation analysis of HIV/AIDS of the District Chapter Five: Lists in order of priority for each sector major projects and programmes which the DOC wishes to implement during the 1994-96 plan period. Selection and prioritization of projects and programmes was the responsibility of the DOC.
