<summary type="text">Uasin Gishu County Integrated Development Plan 2018-2022
The County Integrated Development Plan II (CIDP) is a five-year development plan that details&#13;
goals, programmes and projects that will guide planning and budgeting process of the County in the&#13;
2018-2022 period. It has been developed in pursuant to Section 108 of the County Government Act&#13;
2012 that requires County planners to prepare a five-year County integrated development plans that&#13;
address key County development needs. It further states in section 104(2) that the County planning&#13;
framework shall integrate economic, physical, social, environmental and spatial planning.&#13;
The Plan is divided into six chapters. Chapter one provides the background information about the&#13;
County in terms of its location, administrative set-up, climate, settlement patterns and the major&#13;
geographical features, which play a leading role in the development of the County. To facilitate the&#13;
development of focused strategies, the chapter also gives a detailed fact sheet about the County. This&#13;
is important since it gives in a glance the County’s socio-economic profile.
