The counties are required to prepare their Integrated Development Plans which should be implemented in five successive years. As per the Ministry of Devolution and Planning Guidelines for Preparation of County Annual Development Plans (September, 2017), the county planning should be integrated across sectors, green economy, blue economy and considerations of various actors. More so, the CADP should promote the Kenya Vision 2030 aspiration of making Kenya a globally competitive and prosperous Nation, with a high quality of life for all citizens by 2030.
