The 2022 CFSP outlines the strategic priorities, programmes and development agenda for FY 2022/23. The 2022 CFSP is prepared pursuant to Public Finance Management Act, 2012 (PFMA) Section 117 and outlines the development framework for the FY 2022/23-FY 2024/25 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) Period. The FY 2022/23 budget will be geared towards stimulating the growth of the local economy following the negative effects of COVID 19 pandemic. The programs and policies herein reflect the concerns of the Makueni Citizenry and are anchored under the CIDP 2018-2022 and the 2020/21 Annual Development Plan. The theme for development for FY 2020/21 will be ‘Integrated community development for increased household income and empowerment opportunities for the youth. The Government has prioritized programs aimed at increasing the household income. This will be through accelerating rural economic development through investment in the productive sectors of the economy, Promotion of savings and investment among the households and Public sector restructuring and reorganization to enhance efficiency and productivity.
