<title>Nandi County Integrated Development Plan 2018-2022</title>
<link>https://repository.kippra.or.ke/handle/123456789/900</link>
<description>Nandi County Integrated Development Plan 2018-2022
Nandi County is one of the County Governments in Kenya created under the two-tier&#13;
governance system, i.e. national and county systems created by the Constitution enacted&#13;
in 2010. The County Government started implementing its mandates in March 2013 as&#13;
per the provisions of the Fourth Schedule of the Constitution which came into effect in&#13;
August 2010. The constitution outlined the devolved functions such as Agriculture,&#13;
health, education, trade, infrastructure, and development planning.&#13;
In compliance with constitutional requirements and other legal provisions such as; the&#13;
Public Finance Management, Act 2012, County Government Act, 2012, Urban areas and&#13;
Cities Act, 2012 amongst other legislation, the county has adopted the county integrated&#13;
development framework in its governance processes. This framework calls for the&#13;
periodic preparation of various planning documents; County Integrated Development&#13;
Plan (CIDPs), Spatial Plans, Urban Areas and Cities Plan, Sectoral Plans and Annual&#13;
Development Plans (ADPs).&#13;
The County Integrated Development Plan creates a framework for planning,&#13;
coordinating development, budgeting, effective and efficient project implementation and&#13;
progress performance measurement. In addition, the Plan outlines the county situational&#13;
analysis, linkages to other national and international development plans, review of the&#13;
achievements of the previous Plan period, prioritized sector programmes,&#13;
implementation framework, resource mobilization strategies and monitoring and&#13;
evaluation framework.

<title>Nandi County Integrated Development Plan 2013-2017</title>
<link>https://repository.kippra.or.ke/handle/123456789/899</link>
<description>Nandi County Integrated Development Plan 2013-2017
The Nandi County Integrated Development Plan (NCIDP) was prepared by the County&#13;
Government of Nandi led by the Governor as required by section 102 of the County&#13;
Governments’ Act. The NCIDP is a product of broad-based consultation among diverse&#13;
stakeholders beginning with national and county government officers, the corporate sector,&#13;
professional bodies, farmers groups, and cultural group, athletes and women groups. Notably,&#13;
Consultations were held with elected leaders led by the Governor of Nandi County and&#13;
including the Senator, The Women Representative and the members of the National&#13;
Assembly. The County Assembly beginning with the Speaker and Members was also&#13;
consulted. All the views, programmes and projects in this CIDP emanated from the people of&#13;
Nandi County.&#13;
In preparing this document the secretariat made reference to District Development Plans&#13;
(DDPs) for 2008-2012 plan periods, for Nandi South, Nandi East, Tindiret, Nandi Central&#13;
and Nandi North Districts. From 2013, it is anticipated that each Constituency will become a&#13;
district and a sub County. These DDPs were initially prepared with invaluable inputs from&#13;
various development stakeholders in the respective Sub-Counties. The secretariat also&#13;
borrowed from the findings of the 2009 Population and Housing Census and from relevant&#13;
publications and other sources. Subsequently, the secretariat analysed and organised the data&#13;
resulting to this document. In doing so the secretariat was cognizance of the fact that the&#13;
profile would form a basis on which Nandi County Government would undertake&#13;
development strategies.
