The 2020 Kajiado County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) provides a basis for the preparation of the Medium Term Expenditure Framework 2020/21- 2022/23 Financial Years (FY) budget. This is targeted to contribute to the achievement of the Medium Term theme theme 'Fostering Social Economic and Political Development for Sustainable Growth.' In a bid to achieve this, the county will focus to invest in the identified medium term strategic priorities: Food security, Improved nutrition and Value addition; Reliable and Equitable access to safe and affordable water, adequate sanitation, clean and safe environment. Enhanced access to affordable and quality healthcare and infrastructural development to support economic growth.

he 2019 Kajiado County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) outlines a framework for the 2019/20 FY&#13;

will invest in the medium term strategic priorities namely: food security and improved nutrition;&#13;
Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages; ensure availability and sustainable&#13;
management of water and sanitation for all; infrastructural development to support economic&#13;
growth and value addition for increased income.&#13;
The programmes and projects to be implemented in 2019/20 FY are aligned with the Kajiado&#13;
County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) 2018-2022 and the 2019/20 FY ADP for effective&#13;
realization of priority outcomes and transformation in the county. The county remains committed&#13;
to an operationalization policy of completing stalled and on-going projects so as to ensure planned&#13;
programmes/projects are actualized to benefit the community.

<description>Kajiado County Fiscal Strategy Paper 2018
The 2018 Kajiado County Budget Review and Outlook Paper (CBROP) has been prepared in line&#13;
with the Public Finance Management (PFM) Act 2012, Section 118. This CBROP is the sixth to&#13;
be prepared by the County Government of Kajiado. It provides an analysis of fiscal performance&#13;
of the 2017/18 Financial Year (FY) and outlines main economic development outlook as well as&#13;
resource mobilization framework.&#13;
The County adhered to the fiscal responsibility principles as stipulated in the PFM Act, 2012&#13;
Section 107, Sub-section (2) while implementing the 2017/18 budget. The budget had a total&#13;
resource envelop of Ksh.8.2Billion which comprised of 5.8Billion equitable share, 1Billion local&#13;
revenue, 0.38Billion conditional grants and 0.997Billion balance brought forward. Analysis&#13;
revealed that, actual expenditure amounted to Ksh.6.7 billion reflecting an absorption rate of 81&#13;
percent. On the other hand, the total local revenue collected was Ksh.680Million reflecting an&#13;
increase of 22 percent from the 2016/17FY where Ksh.557Million was collected.
