<title>Kajiado County Nutrition Action Plan 2016-2018</title>
<link>https://repository.kippra.or.ke/handle/123456789/998</link>
<description>Kajiado County Nutrition Action Plan 2016-2018
Good nutrition is one of the key foundations for the development of a healthy and&#13;
productive workforce with the first 1000 days of an individuals’ life being the most&#13;
critical period. Investing in good nutrition particularly for women and children will be&#13;
important to achieving the overall developmental goals for Kajiado County.&#13;
Kajiado County Government recognizes that a high rate of malnutrition is a threat&#13;
to achieving Sustainable Development Goals and Vision 2030 and goes against our&#13;
constitution, which emphasizes on the right to highest standard of health. Reducing&#13;
the rates of malnutrition in Kajiado is not just a health issue but calls for a multi-sectoral&#13;
approach whereby different sectors join hands with a common goal. Communities&#13;
must be empowered to claim their right to good nutrition and guided to play their role&#13;
towards realizing this right.
