Kajiado County Sustainable Forest Resources Management And Exploitation (Charcoal ) Policy 2018

Abstract

The goals of this policy document is to ensure at least 10% forest cover to ensure climate change adaptation and resilience in Kajiado County; promote sustainable exploitation of forest resources for holistic environmental conservation and protection and for the benefits of current and future generations of Kenyans; respect socio-cultural values and ensure access to justice, gender equity and inclusiveness; sustainably conserve water catchments areas by facilitating human capacity building for innovation and development among members of Conservation Forest Associations; attaining 90% appropriate awareness of forest conservation and protection affairs by the local communities the next one year for ownership and participatory forest conservation and protection.
