During the FY 2018/2019 Kakamega County witnessed significant improvement in socio-economic and fiscal development. To sustain this momentum, the County has put measures to track its expenditure and project status continuously through developing monitoring and evaluation system and performance contracting infrastructure. Through these initiatives, the county has implemented many development projects in various sectors which have stimulated economic growth being witnessed so far. Despite the growth prospects, poverty and unemployment still remain the major challenges. However, with decisive and firm action being implemented in accountable and transparent manner, the County shall speed up the pace of economic growth and accelerate massive transformation which will expand job market and wealth creation.
