National Development Plan for the Period 1984-1988

Abstract

This Plan- Kenya's Fifth Since Independence covers the projected growth of die economy over the five calendar years 1984-1988 and, more specifically, the investment programme of the Government in the financial years 1983/84 to 1987 /88. The plan serves a dual purpose. On the one hand, it summarises the achievements of the last twenty years and the difficulties we have encountered and for the most overcome, on the way. On the other hand, it lights our way forward by confirming our long-term objectives and establishing a development strategy for making significant progress toward them over the course of the next five years...
