Abstract

In accordance with the provisions of the Guarantee (Loans) Act (Cap. 461), the following information is laid before the National Assembly relating to a guarantee by the Government of the obligations of the Industrial Development Bank Limited (hereinafter referred to as "IDB") in respect of a loan of U.A. 5 million (five million Units of Account} equivalent to approximately KE 2.5 million to be granted to IDB by the African Development Bank, a Financial Institution established by the Articles of Agreement drawn up at the conference of Finance Ministers held at Khartoum in the Sudan in July and August, 196~ and given effect in Kenya by the African Development Bank Act (Cap. 492 of the Laws of Kenya), and having its Head Office at B.P.
