Abstract/ Overview
In accordance with the provision of the Guarantee (Loans) Act, 1966, CAP.461, the following information is laid before the National Assembly relating to a Guarantee which the Government proposes to give to the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (I.B.R.D.) in respect of a loan to the Nairobi City Council not exceeding U.S. dollars 8,300,000 (K£ 2,980,000) for the construction of Chania water Project. The giving of this Guarantee will bring the Government's contingent liability under Guarantee given under this Act to a total of K£19,562,255. The Project consists of expansion and improvements of the water supply and distribution system of Nairobi. The project includes…
