County Fiscal Strategy Paper 2016/2017

Abstract

Kitui County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) 2016 is the third to be prepared by the County Government under the devolved governance structure and sets out the priority programs to be implemented in the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) period 2016/17 – 2018/19.The basis for this strategy paper and all the policies anchored on it are built on the background of improving national and global economic forecasts, underpinned by gradual recovery of the advanced economies and sustained robust growth in Sub-Saharan Africa. Shifting priorities in favor of sub Saharan Africa fueled by mining interests, investment in infrastructure as well as other investment segments further reinforces the hope for accelerated economic growth prospects and creation of more jobs.
