Abstract/ Overview
The Department of Health is the largest devolved unit in Nakuru County with a current budgetary allocation of 31.3% of the entire county budget for FY2019/20. Health functions are fully devolved by the Constitution of Kenya 2010, fourth schedule. The following are the devolved functions: Health facilities and pharmacies, Ambulance services, promotion of primary healthcare, licensing and control of undertakings that sell food to public,cemeteries, funeral parlours and crematorium.
