dc.description.abstract | Education Sector is one of the key sectors within Nakuru County Government. It comprises of two directorates of Education and Vocational Training. The formation of the sector and the allocations of the functions have been through key policy documents, which include The Constitution of Kenya 2010. The Fourth schedule, Part 2 outlines specific responsibilities devolved to the county governments on pre-primary education, village polytechnics, home craft centres and children care facilities. The government of Kenya has formulated several policies, Acts and regulations for education and vocational training. These include Pre-primary Education Policy 2017, Children’s act 2012, TVET ACT 2013, Basic Education Act 2012, Bursary regulation 2015, the County ECD Act and School Safety manual.. | en_US |
