Abstract/ Overview
This Sessional Paper has four objects: To seek the approval of the Legislative Council to certain amendments to the development plan covering the three and a half years 1st January, 1954, to 30th June, 1957, described in Sessional Paper No. 51 of 1955; To inform the Legislative Council of the decisions taken by the Government as regards spending priorities in the fiscal year 1955-56; To report on the progress so far in the implementation of the development plan and to review the financial position.

A sessional paper on the progress report on the three-and-a-half-year development plan. The purpose of this report is to review the progress of the present three-and-a-half-year plan and to make recommendations on priorities in relation to works capacity and the availability of funds and to define the stages in which the plan should be carried out.
