Sessional Paper No. 04 of 1977 on Government Guarantee of a Loan to the East African Portland Cement Company Limited by the European Investment Bank of Luxemburg in Accordance with the E.E.C/A.C.P Convention of Lome

Abstract

The Government proposes to guarantee a loan of 3,000,000 European units of Account (equivalent to approximately 30,000,000 Kenya shillings) to be made to the East African Portland Cement Company Limited by the European Investment Bank within the framework of European Economic Community's Indicative Aid Programme for the Republic of Kenya. The loan is to be used for the financing of a project for increasing the productive capacity of E.A. Portland Cement Company's existing factory at Athi River from 250,000 tons per annum to 375,000 tons of cement per annum.
