dc.description.abstract | The CBROP provides a review of the fiscal performance for the financial year 2020/21, updated national macroeconomic and fiscal forecast which informs the county fiscal framework, deviations from the CFSP 2021 and indicative sector ceilings for the 2022/23 budget and the medium term. The indicative Ceilings and fiscal outlook provided herein will be firmed in the CFSP 2021.
The fiscal performance in the 2020/2021 financial year was fairly satisfactory considering the enduring impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the containment measures carried out in the financial year to curb the spread of the pandemic.
The total cumulative revenue realized was Ksh. 8,187,154,059 against a projected target of Ksh. 8,396,207,368 translating to an achievement rate of 98 percent. This represents a revenue shortfall of Ksh. 209,053,309 where ordinary local revenues were under collected by Ksh. 153,345,754 while transfers from the National government and other sources underperformed by Ksh. 55,707,555 | en |
