Abstract

During the FY 2013/14, the department implemented a number of projects including grading and gravelling of 240 KM of roads across the county using NYS equipments and an additional 800 KM using county graders ; construction of bridges and box culverts at Megun, Kaptoro, Lower Sosiani, St Georges, Kabooi, Kapnyangi, Kaptait, Soy Kipsomba, and Oldonyo Lessos are at different stages of implementation; Construction of New Roads and Rehabilitation to bitumen standard of 64 and Kimathi Streets measuring approximately 3 KM currently on going; and installation of street lights at Kapsoya, Elgon View, Kipkaren and KPA areas.
