Uasin Gishu County Fiscal Strategy Paper 2019

Abstract

County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) is the primary financial policy document setting out the County government’s policy and priority interventions intended for implementation in the financial year 2019/20 and in the medium term. The paper identifies the broad strategic priorities and policy goals that will guide in the preparation of the County budget for the next financial year and over the medium term. CFSP 2019 lays ground for the preparation of 2019/20 budget. The CFSP 2019 has been prepared pursuant to Section 117 of the Public Finance Management (PFM) Act 2012 which requires the County Treasury to prepare County Fiscal Strategy Paper and submit it to the County Assembly by 28th February of each year. The paper has been aligned with the national objectives as captured in the Budget Policy Statement, with application of fiscal responsibility principles as required by section 107 of PFM Act 2012.
