Kilifi County Annual Development Plan 2019/2020

Abstract

The County Annual Development Plan for the financial year 2019/2020 implements the second County Integrated Development Plan 2018-2022 pursuant to section 126 of the Public Finance Management Act (2012). It outlines the county’s development priories in line with programme based planning and budgeting with clear objectives and output and outcome indicators planned for achievement by the departments in the plan period. The CADP 2021/22 derives its programmes and projects from the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) 2018-2022 and provides a basis for project identification, implementation and evaluation. It also provides a framework for coordinating development agenda across the sectors in the county government. The CADP reviews implementation of projects and programmes for the previous financial year 2019/20 and takes cognizance of the challenges experienced and valuable lessons learnt during implementation and makes recommendations for future implementation. The CADP looks at the strategic priorities over the medium term which reflect the county government's priorities taking into consideration the country’s long term development blue print “The Kenya Vision 2030”, the medium term plan (MTP 2018-2022), Sustainable Development Goals, The East Africa Community (EAC) vision 2050 and Africa union Agenda 2063.
