Kericho County Annual Development Plan 2014/2015

Abstract

Water, energy, Forestry, Environment and Natural Resources is one the ten (10) government departments constituted by the County Government of Kericho. The department envisage that in the next financial year 2014/2015, it will work towards the completion of consultatively identified water projects, development of a master plan for the water supply system for the county, conservation of wetlands and water sources. Its also the department's function to ensure solid waste management within the town and other markets centre is addressed and master plan for the same. Energy supply through alternative sources such as solar, biogas and biodiesel or green energy is an area the department will initiate. This will be through Public Private Participation (PPP).
