Kenya Youth Development Policy 2019

Abstract

This Kenya Youth Development Policy 2019 highlights the importance of youth in the development of Kenya and the country's Big Four Agenda, Vision 2030, and Sustainable Development Goals. The policy places an obligation on the youth to be productive, patriotic, and active participants in society. The development of a Kenyan Youth Development Index is proposed to track and measure the impact of initiatives, programs, projects, and activities. The policy was developed through inclusive consultative and participatory processes involving youth partners and stakeholders. The author acknowledges and thanks various individuals, groups, and organizations for their contributions to the successful formulation of the policy. Finally, the author calls for continued support in the implementation, monitoring, reviews, and reporting of impact of the policy.
