dc.description.abstract | The Influence of Household Sanitation on Child Stunting in Kenya publication by the National Irrigation Programme Focus for Nutrition (NIFPN) investigates the relationship between household sanitation and child stunting in Kenya. Using data from the Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (KDHS) 2014, the publication examines the prevalence of inadequate sanitation practices among households in Kenya and their association with child stunting. The publication identifies key household-level factors, such as access to improved sanitation facilities, that are significantly associated with reduced odds of stunting among children. The publication also highlights the need for integrated interventions that address both the direct and underlying determinants of child stunting, including inadequate sanitation practices. | en |
