The Nyandarua North County District Development Plan is a comprehensive framework that emphasizes the importance of district-level planning in rural areas. With the increasing availability of resources at devolved levels, the plan aims to adopt a main strategy that focuses on constituency needs and builds an effective bottom-up public service delivery system. The plan incorporates the National Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation System, which promotes community and stakeholder involvement throughout the entire project planning process. This requires enhancing capacity building initiatives at both national and sub-national levels for participatory planning and development. The plan also includes structured efforts to revamp District Information Management Systems, enabling dynamic District Information and Documentation Centers. The District Planning and Management Unit, in collaboration with development partners, plays a central role in actively pursuing these initiatives.en
