Abstract

The Homabay County Institutional Development strategy outlines the overall approach to urban areas management as well as the process by which the county government integrates urban development in county-wide planning. it goes ahead to specify how the county intends to address urban management and includes an annual action plan and budget outlining the proposed use of urban institutional grants (UIG). through the inclusion of UGI, the county government aims to promote urban development within the county by establishing and strengthening urban institutions and integrating urban development challenges and opportunities into county wide development strategies and plans
