The CIDP, just like the Kenya Vision 2030, is anchored on economic, social, and political pillars. The
economic pillar aims at ensuring prosperity for all citizenry of Kenya through inclusive and sustainable
development programmes. The social pillar seeks to build a just, cohesive, and equitable society living
in a clean and secure environment. The social pillar is anchored on transformation in education and
training, health, water and sanitation, environment, housing and urbanization, gender, youth, sports,
and culture. The political pillar seeks to promote a democratic political system that is issue-based,
people –centred, result-oriented, and accountable to the public. The plan has also been aligned to
the fourth Medium Term Plan, Bottom-up Economic Model, and international Commitments like the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). | en |
