Makueni County Annual Development Plan 2019/2020

Abstract

This Annual Development Plan for the FY 2019/20 is the second to implement the medium term development plan (CIDP 2018-2022). It is prepared pursuant to Section 126 of the Public Finance Management Act. The priorities in the Annual Development Plan lay focus on empowering the community economically for increased household income. It has been anchored on five thematic areas namely: a) Community economic empowerment; b) Water resource management; c) Lands, Urban planning and development; d) Socio-economic development and e) Enablers (infrastructure, cooperatives, financial infrastructure, energy, ICT, institutional capacity and market infrastructure). The ADP adopts a holistic and cross-sectoral government approach with many agencies and one Government. Specifically in the FY 2019/20, the county government targets to; improve livelihoods through increased agricultural production, empower youths to participate in economic activities, enhance quality health care for all and enhance the contribution of communities to development. This will improve coordination and cooperation among the various departments in the delivery of the intended objectives.
