Trans Nzoia County Annual Development Plan 2017/2018

Abstract

This is the Third County Annual Development Plan and it has been prepared in compliance with section 126 of the Public Finance Management Act 2012, and in accordance with Article 220(2) of the Constitution. The Annual Plan contains the strategic priority development programmes and projects that will be implemented during the financial year 2017/2018. County Governments have a very important role to play in the development of the county as stipulated in schedule four of the Kenya Constitution 2010. The County government can only fulfill its mandate through the formulation and implementation of appropriate policies and strategies that spur investment, create opportunities, enhance residents’ income earnings and establish an effective and efficient public service delivery system. This plan therefore provides a short term road map of key priority programs for implementation during the coming financial year 2017/18 in fulfillment of the county government’s mandate to the people of Trans Nzoia
