Abstract/ Overview
The County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) is a guiding document that lays the road map that coordinates the efforts of the county government, the national government and other development partners at local level to link the economic, social, environmental, legal and spatial aspects of development in accordance with the needs and development priorities of local communities. The structure of this CIDP is prescribed by the County Government Act and comprises six chapters and an annex. Chapter one of the CIDP provides the general background to Marsabit County. It covers the overview of the county, including the socio-economic, infrastructural, ecological and environmental aspects. Along the guideline prepared by the ministry of devolution and planning.
