Kirinyaga County Integrated Development Plan 2023-2027

Abstract

The Kirinyaga County Integrated Development Plan 2023-2027 (CIDP) draws its development agenda from Vision 2030, the county's Sessional Paper 2032, and public input gathered through participation forums. The county aims to collaborate with the national government, development partners, and pursue Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) to mobilize resources for key projects. Equitable allocation of resources and effective monitoring and evaluation systems will ensure timely implementation. Special groups, such as youth and women, are prioritized for employment creation and economic empowerment. The CIDP outlines projects and programs aligned with five strategic goals: job creation, better health, increased income, improved urban planning and infrastructure, and enhanced knowledge and skill development. The success of the county's Sessional Paper 2032 relies on the efficient implementation of the CIDP, which calls for collaboration among stakeholders to achieve development goals and benefit Kirinyaga County and Kenya as a whole.
