| dc.description.abstract | The 8th District Development Plan (DDP) from 2008-2012 was created through collaborative efforts of the District Planning and Monitoring Unit and the Sector Working Groups (SWGs). The plan involved consultations with stakeholders and integrated input from various development actors. Aligned with national development goals and the Millennium Development Goals, the plan aimed to achieve a globally competitive and prosperous Kenya. It outlined medium-term policies, objectives, and strategies to be implemented under the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) for effective service delivery. The Rural Planning Directorate (RPD) provided guidance and published the final plans. | en |
