Kakamega County Annual Development Plan 2025/2026

Abstract

he County Annual Development Plan (C-ADP) sets out the County’s annual development priorities as derived from the 5-year County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP 2023-27). The CADP forms the basis for budgeting and spending as provided for in the Public Finance Management Act, 2012. It is the first policy document that initiates the County budget cycle. n order to provide an enriched menu, the 2025/2026 Annual Development Plan seeks to integrate the local, national and international development blueprints for the betterment of the lives and livelihoods of the citizens of Kakamega. The guiding principle is the County’s six- point development agenda which is aligned to The Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), Kenya Vision 2030 and its Fourth Medium Term Plan (MTP IV 2023-2027), The East African Community Agenda 2050, the Africa Agenda 2063 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To achieve the objectives of the development goals enlisted, key areas of focus under each sector have been highlighted.
