dc.description.abstractIn the 1996 and 1997 Sessions, the committee undertook an extensive review of the Standing orders. The exercise was sparked off by a request from the leader of Government Business (LGB) in the House. In a letter dated May 31, 1996, addressed to the Chairman of the Committee, the LGB requested the Committee to review the provisions of Standing Orders 147 and 148. The Provisions of the two Standing Orders, respectively, govern the operations of the Public Accounts Committee.
