Abstract/ Overview
Many people in developing countries stand the risk of acquiring blood borne diseases through unsafe injections and improper handling of injection waste. Recent surveys have established that health care providers and consumers are confronted with significant environmental hazards due to improper disposal, delayed disposal and destruction of injection and other medical waste.
