Abstract/ Overview
The Kenya Economic Report (KER) 2020 is the twelfth in a series of the Kenyan economy Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA), pursuant to the KIPPRA Act No. 15 of 2006. The theme of the KER 2020 is “Creating an Enabling Environment for Inclusive Growth in Kenya”. The overriding objective of the Report is motivated by the Government’s quest for a strong foundation for broad-based economic growth and development, as envisioned in the Constitution of Kenya, the Kenya Vision 2030, the Third Medium-Term Plan and the “Big Four” agenda. The emphasis on inclusive growth is reflected in Kenya’s global and regional development commitments, namely: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Africa Union Agenda 2063, and the East African Community (EAC) Vision 2050…
