Abstract/ Overview
The County Government of Laikipia annual estimates for financial year 2022/2023 have been prepared in line with chapter 12 and Article 220 (2) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and Section 125 of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012. These estimates reflect the County Government's plans and priorities for the Financial Year, 2022/2023. The County Treasury continues to work towards realising fiscal responsibility as enshrined in the Section 107 of Public Finance Management Act, 2012 and Section 25 of the Public Finance Management (County Governments) Regulations, 2015. This will be accomplished inter alia by progressively bringing the personnel emoluments down towards the required 35%; reducing the recurrent expenditure and allocating more resources to development budget to above 30%.
