Kisumu City County Annual Development Plan 2020/2021

Abstract

Consistent with the County’s aspiration to be a peaceful and prosperous county where all citizens enjoy a high-quality life and a sense of belonging, the County government of Kisumu prepared the Annual Development Plan (CADP) for the Financial Year 2020/2021 in accordance with the provisions of the County Government Act, 2012 and the Public Finance Management Act, 2012. This plan puts in place strategies to ensure the development objectives of the people of Kisumu are met. During the plan period, the implementation of development programmes as designed in the CIDP II is expected to steer the County towards sustainable development by focusing on six key thematic areas: improving food and nutrition security; achieving Universal Health Coverage; accelerating job creation through manufacturing; skills development, business incubation and innovation support services; Infrastructure development; enhanced resilience, adaptive capacity and access to clean and safe household water.
