Abstract/ Overview
The Kilifi District Development Plan introduces a District Development Plan focused on "Rapid Industrialization for Sustainable Development," which was created by the District Departmental Heads of various ministries under the guidance of the Rural Planning Department of the Office of the Vice President and Ministry of Planning and National Development. The plan consists of three chapters, covering background information on the district's resources and infrastructure, the major constraints to industrialization and strategies for overcoming them, and a list of priority projects and programs to be implemented over the 1997-2001 plan period. The plan was approved by the District Development Committee and guided by relevant policy documents.
