Abstract

The Data Landscape Report by the National Irrigation Programme Focus for Nutrition (NIPFN) provides an overview of the current status of data related to smallholder irrigation and nutrition in Kenya. The report highlights the gaps and challenges in data availability, accessibility, and quality, and emphasizes the need for improved data systems to inform evidence-based decision-making and program planning. The report identifies key data sources and stakeholders, and presents a framework for data collection and management that prioritizes the integration of nutrition indicators into irrigation monitoring and evaluation systems. The report also recommends capacity-building for data analysis and interpretation to enhance the utilization of data for effective programming and policymaking.
