The Household Characteristics Associated with Stunting publication by the National Information Platform for Food Security and Nutrition (NIPN) investigates the household-level factors associated with stunting among children in Kenya. Using data from the Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (KDHS) 2014, the publication identifies key household characteristics, such as maternal education, household wealth, and access to basic services, that are significantly associated with stunting. The publication also highlights the need for targeted interventions that address the underlying determinants of stunting at the household level. The publication concludes by providing recommendations for improving the nutrition status of children through integrated interventions that address multiple household-level factors.en
