dc.description.abstractThis research conducted by the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) delves into the socio-economic status of Bungoma County amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The study aims to comprehensively understand the impacts and challenges faced by the county's population during this unprecedented global health crisis. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research combines quantitative data analysis from various official sources and surveys with qualitative insights from interviews and focus group discussions with key stakeholders. The analysis covers a wide range of socio-economic indicators, including household income, employment patterns, access to healthcare, education, and social support systems. The findings shed light on the significant socio-economic disruptions experienced by Bungoma County due to the pandemic, highlighting the disparities faced by vulnerable communities. The research provides valuable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and development agencies, offering evidence-based interventions to address the socio-economic repercussions of COVID-19 in Bungoma County and promote resilient and inclusive development.en
