Abstract/ Overview
The main objectives of science, technology and innovation (ST&I) policy are to create endogenous ST&I capacities appropriate to national needs, priorities and resources, and to create a science, technology and innovation culture whereby solutions to socio-cultural and economic problems of the individual, the community and the nation are recognized and sought within the domain of ST&I. The policy will be based on the guiding principles of relevance, realism, cost-effectiveness, multi-disciplinarily and synergy, partnerships, environmental protection and conservation, empowerment and participation, equity and non-discrimination, ethical leadership and good governance.
