This Convention revises the Protection Against Accidents (Dockers) Convention (Revised) No. 32 of 1932. It provides improved protection for dock workers who are now exposed to increasing Occupational Safety and Health Hazards caused by rapid technological changes in dock-work. The instrument provides more details on technical and administrative measures required to secure safety and health of dock-workers than those contained in the 1932 Convention.
