dc.description.abstract | The County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) outlines the process through which efforts at national and devolved levels of government and other relevant public institutions are coordinated at the local level to bring economic, social, environmental, legal and spatial aspects of development together, to meet the needs and targets set for the benefit of local communities. The CIDP has eight chapters, as outlined below. Chapter one gives the background information on the physical, socio-economic and infrastructure information that has a bearing on the development of the county government of Marsabit. The chapter describes the county in terms of the location, size, physiographic and natural conditions, demographic profiles as well as the administrative and political units.
