Kakamega County Annual Development Plan 2017/2018

Abstract

The Kakamega County Annual Development Plan 2017/18 is the foundation for the Budget as provided for in the Public Financial Management Act (126). The report gives a brief background on the County and the Annual Development Plan. Chapter one of the ADP 2017/18 gives a brief introduction to this plan indicating the methodology followed during its preparation. Chapter Two provides a comparison between what was planned for 2016/2017 and what was provided for in the budget 2016/2017. Chapter Three reviews the achievements of each Ministry department and agency in view of the previous ADPs. This includes the implementation of county flagship projects. Chapter Four gives the highlights and challenges faced in the implementation of previous plans and further provide a prescription of strategies and measures to mitigate them. Chapter Five finally gives the various projects and programmes proposed for implementation in the financial year 2017/18 per sector and sub-sector.
