Busia County Budget Review and Outlook Paper 2015/2016

Abstract

This County Budget Review and Outlook Paper (CBROP) presents the fiscal outcome for 2015/2016 and how it affected the financial objectives set out in the 2015/2016 County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP). In addition, the document provides the recent economic development and the updated economic and financial forecasts and changes from the forecast which was articulated in the 2015/2016 fiscal strategy paper. In reviewing the fiscal performance, this paper analyzed the performance of county’s own revenue in the financial year 2015/2016. It has also included the total revenue actually collected in a comparison with projected revenues for the same year. This paper also provides an overview of the performance in revenue and the level of absorption of funds by some departments.
