Vihiga County Fiscal Strategy Paper 2022

Abstract

This is the 9th County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) to be prepared by the County Government since the beginning of devolved governance system in 2013. The Paper outlines the budgeting and development framework the County Government seeks to pursue in the 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2024/25 MTEF period. The FY 2022/23 budget will be geared towards post-COVID -19Economic recovery strategies in the backdrop of the Covid-19. The pandemic affected the global economies and impacted on lives and livelihoodsin the county. The Paper specifies the strategic priorities and policy measures that will guide in attaining balanced development across the county. The document further outlines the current state of the County in terms of budget implementation and specifies the set strategic priorities and policy goals together with a summary of the County government spending plans.
