Nyandarua County Annual Development Plan 2022/2023

Abstract

Preparation of this Plan is guided by the Public Finance Management Act, 2012. The legal provisions in the PFM Act, 2012, gives the content, form and timelines for its preparation, submission and approvals. Section 126 (2) of the PFM Act, 2012 provides that the County Executive Committee Member responsible for Planning shall prepare the ADP in accordance with the format prescribed by regulations. Chapter One provides the general information of the County on the socio-economic, infrastructural, ecological and environmental information. This includes a description of the County in terms of the location, size, demographic profiles as well as the administrative and political units. Further, the Chapter gives the link between the CADP and other Plans such as CIDP 2, Sector Plans among others and even how legal provisions have been adhered to. The process of preparing this Plan is also contained therein. Chapter Two presents a summary of implementation during the previous planning period i.e. 2020/21 FY highlighting the achievements, challenges and emerging issues that were realized.
