Kitui County Budget Review and Outlook Paper 2021

Abstract

This County Budget Review and Outlook Paper (CBROP) is the eighth edition prepared by the County Government of Kitui under the devolved governance structure. It provides an analysis of the actual fiscal performance of the 2020/2021 fiscal year and projections for the 2021/2022 fiscal year. The report outlines key economic developments for the National and County Government, provides updated Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) financial forecasts, and highlights deviations from the County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP). The paper also discusses how the County's compliance with fiscal responsibility principles and financial objectives was affected by actual performance at the local and national levels in 2020/21 fiscal year.
